About this role

We are looking for a Product Engineer with 3‑8 years of experience to join a fast‑moving GovTech startup modernizing local government software. You'll own product outcomes end‑to‑end — from talking directly with customers to shipping AI‑powered features — in a high‑autonomy environment where you set your own pace and drive work forward without waiting for direction.

What will you be doing?

• Owning entire customer deliverables end‑to‑end — scoping, building, and iterating on product features with minimal oversight

• Talking directly with government customers to understand their needs and translating insights into product solutions (not just building what's asked)

• Shipping full‑stack features across frontend, backend, and AI‑powered tooling

• Traveling to customer sites to iterate quickly and ensure product‑market fit

• Operating like a forward‑deployed engineer — jumping into new environments and figuring things out independently

Requirements

Key Requirements

• 3+ years of full‑stack engineering experience with a product‑building mindset (not just infrastructure or backend optimization)

• Significant startup experience — must have worked at smaller, fast‑growing companies (no purely big‑tech backgrounds)

• Demonstrated comfort working directly with customers and translating their needs into product decisions

• High drive and initiative — self‑starter who thrives without structured onboarding or detailed specs

• Strong communicator who is concise, articulate, and comfortable in ambiguous environments
